Veal Patties Schnitzel Recipe
Got this recipe from a cookbook years ago called 365 ways to cook ground meat. A great week night meal.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 lb ground veal
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 tbls butter
  • 2 tbls finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions
  1. Form ground veal into 4 patties
  2. Season bread crumbs with salt and pepper
  3. Dredge patties in flour, dip in egg, and then into the bread crumbs
  4. Cook patties in 2 tbls. butter
  5. Remove from pan, add remaining butter and saute onions and mushrooms.
  6. Add broth, wine and paprika and cook until liquid is slightly reduced.
  7. Stir in sour cream and heat over low heat.
  8. Pour sauce over patties.
  9. Serve with egg noodles.

Love the recipe, Wynn - I don't personally eat veal, but sub with ground beef. (Just a personal pref)
