This is a very easy recipe for a delicious pot roast. It's designed especially for the working person who does not have time to cook all day, but it tastes like you did!

Ingredients
  • 1 stalk celery, sliced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • salt and pepper (amount depends on your taste)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 4 lbs chuck roast

Directions
  1. 1. Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper (amount depends on your taste).
  2. Using a high level of heat, brown each side in a large-size skillet.
  3. 2. Then set the chuck roast in your crockpot and include the celery, onion, potatoes, soup mix, carrots, and water.
  4. 3. Place the lid on the crockpot, and heat on low for 8 to 10 hours.
