Chicken Wild Rice Supreme Recipe

Ingredients

1 box Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild Rice (Original, longer cook time)

1/3 cup chopped onion

1/4 cup melted butter

1/4 cup flour

3/4 teaspoon salt

Pepper to taste

1 cup half and half cream

1-1/4 cups chicken broth

2 cups cooked chicken, torn in medium size pieces

1/3 cup chopped pimiento

Slivered almonds for topping

Directions

Cook rice as directed on box

In skillet saute' onion in butter

Blend in flour, salt and pepper

Gradually stir in half and half and chicken broth

Cook mixture until thickened

In large bowl, add the rice, the cooked sauce, chicken, and pimiento

Pour into a 9 X 13 casserole dish OR a 2 quart dish of choice

Sprinkle with slivered almonds

Bake for 30-40 minutes at 375 degrees
