Easiest English Toffee Ever

- 1 cup butter (or margarine) shopping list
- 1 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- approximately 35 saltines shopping list
- 8 oz chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate) shopping list
- 1/2 - 3/4 cup ground nuts shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Line an 11 x 15 cookie sheet with foil, lay out saltines flat on pan.
- Combine butter & sugar in saucepan.
- Heat on medium until sugar dissolves and mixture becomes bubbly (about 5 minutes).
- Pour over saltines and spread
- Bake exactly 7 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Sprinkle with chips and spread. When melted, sprinkle with nuts.
- Refrigerate until cold.
- Break into pieces.
