Okinawan Sweet and Sour Pork

- 1 pound pork cut into 1 inch cubes shopping list
- MARINADE: shopping list
- 3 tbsp soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp ginger shopping list
- BATTER: shopping list
- 2 beaten eggs shopping list
- 6 tbsp cornstarch shopping list
- SAUCE: shopping list
- 2/3 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tbsp soy sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup vinegar shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice shopping list
- 4 tbsp ketchup shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 3 tbsp cornstarch shopping list
- VEGETABLES: shopping list
- carrots shopping list
- peppers shopping list
- onion shopping list
- 1 can pineapple chunks (DRAIN AND RESERVE juice NOT syrup) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix marinade, pour over pork. Soak 2-3 hours.
- Make sauce, bring ingredients to a boil. Add cornstarch mixed in the water. Stir until thick.
- Drain meat. Dip in egg and cornstarch. Fry. Drain and keep warm.
- Stir fry vegetables. Drain, and add to sauce. Add pineapple and meat.
- Serve over rice.
- I make extra sauce so I can have extra sweet and sour sauce.
