Fiery Sweet Pickles Recipe
FIERY SWEET PICKLES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Brimley Estate in McKinney, Texas in 1987.

Ingredients
  • 64 ounces sliced dill pickles
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons bottled hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 3 teaspoons fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dehydrated minced onion

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl stirring together well.
  2. Cover and let stand at room temperature for 2 hours stirring occasionally.
  3. Spoon pickles into 2 jars then pour juice equally into both jars.
  4. Cover with lids and store in the refrigerator.
  5. Pickles will be crunchy, sweet and spicy.
