Insalata di pane or Bread Salad

- 1 loaf of crusty rustic Italian bread shopping list
- 6 ripe Italian plum tomatoes shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, minced shopping list
- 2 tablespoons capers shopping list
- fresh basil leaves - as many as you like, rough chopped shopping list
- extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- salt and freshly ground pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Slice and toast the bread; when toasted, cut into cubes;
- Seed and chop the tomatoes;
- Mince the garlic and tear the basil leaves;
- Place the bread in a salad bowl; add the chopped tomatoes, garlic, capers, and basil;
- Drizzle with olive oil; salt and pepper to taste;
- Toss and serve.
