Aunt Amys Corn Chowder Recipe
My sister made this for us when she was really young, I think she learned it in home ec. I have loved it ever since. It is really very simple and yet so tasty!

Ingredients
  • 6 large potatoes, peeled and chopped into medium sized chunks, we leave the peel on
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 package bacon, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 pound of corn, fresh/frozen/canned
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, optional, I do not use this with the bacon in it
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Directions
  1. Take a large pan, fill half full of water.
  2. Place on burner to bring to a boil.
  3. Add salt and pepper at any time to cook into the food as you wish.
  4. Add potatoes, cook until about half way done.
  5. Add onion, bacon, and corn, cooking until potatoes are done.
  6. Turn heat down too an med-low simmer add milk and butter.
  7. Serve with homemade rolls. Enjoy!
