Aunt Amys Corn Chowder

- 6 large potatoes, peeled and chopped into medium sized chunks, we leave the peel on shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 package bacon, cut into 2 inch pieces shopping list
- 1 pound of corn, fresh/frozen/canned shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter, optional, if you use it I prefer real butter!!! shopping list
- salt, to taste shopping list
- pepper, to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Take a large pan, fill half full of water.
- Place on burner to bring to a boil.
- Add salt and pepper at any time to cook into the food as you wish.
- Add potatoes, cook until about half way done.
- Add onion, bacon, and corn, cooking until potatoes are done.
- Turn heat down too an med-low simmer add milk and butter.
- Serve with homemade rolls. Enjoy!
- I should note here that I just put it all into a crock pot now, and let it cook all day!
