Spicy Shrimp Marinara

- 1lb penne pasta shopping list
- 1lb Cooked medium shrimp shopping list
- 1 Jar Newmans Own marinara sauce shopping list
- McCormick cajun seasoning liberal amount 2-4 tbsp or more! shopping list
- olive oil, eye ball it shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic chopped shopping list
- a little chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1/2 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1/4 cup stock, veggie,or chix shopping list
- parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cook pasta as directed on box, I like pasta al dente so, if the box says cook 9-12 minutes, I go with 9. Once done drain and shock with cold water and set aside.
- In sauce pan pour olive oil and saute onion and garlic on a medium heat, once brown add 1/2 jar of Marinara stir add some cajun seasoning , oregano, and red pepper flakes continue to stir and add your stock and second 1/2 of sauce, add a little more olive oil and salt, lower heat and let simmer.
- In a bowl combine shrimp, with olive oil and coat with cajun seasoning, pour into your sauce, once fully mixed, add pasta to sauce and stir to coat evenly.
- Serve right away, with Parmesan over the top
