White Cheddar Cheese Grits

- 6 cups water shopping list
- 6 cups milk shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups white grits shopping list
- 16 ounces finely grated white cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In large saucepan over medium heat combine water, milk, salt, pepper and 2 tablespoons butter.
- Bring liquid to a gentle boil then stir in grits.
- Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in remaining butter and cheese.

I love grits, I make mine using Jack cheese at times only I cut the recipe in half now that the kids are grown and have their own families... just can't beat grits!! yummmmmm
