Ingredients

assorted raw vegetables

firm French bread cubes

tortilla chips

3 tbsp butter or margarine

1 med onion, chopped

1 small can (8 oz) stewed tomatoes

1 can ( 4oz) green chiles

1/4 tsp dried oregano

4 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

Prepare vegetables and bread; set aside.

Melt butter in skillet. Add onion and cook until lightly browned. stir in tomatoes, chiles, and oregano. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, for 5 minutes.

Add cheese, a handful at a time, stirring until cheese is melted and mixture is well blended.

Transfer to fondue pot and keep warm.

Use assorted vegetables as dippers.
