Lone Star State Barbeque Spareribs

- 4 pounds beef or pork spareribs shopping list
- 1/4 cup olive oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 medium white onion chopped shopping list
- 5 garlic cloves minced shopping list
- 2 large ripe tomatoes chopped shopping list
- 6 ounce can tomato paste shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce shopping list
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 heaping tablespoon Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/2 cup red wine shopping list
- 1 lemon juiced shopping list
How to make it
- Start charcoal or wood or fire up your gas grill.
- Rub slab of ribs all over with olive oil then sprinkle liberally with salt and pepper and rub it in.
- Cover and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat melt butter.
- When it begins to bubble add onion and garlic and sauté 3 minutes.
- Add all remaining ingredients then stir and turn heat to medium low and cook 30 minutes.
- When grill is ready put ribs bone side down in center of grill.
- Cover grill and open vents enough to make sure there is air flow then grill ribs for 1 hour turning twice during cooking.
- Baste every 10 minutes with sauce.
