How to make it

  • Start charcoal or wood or fire up your gas grill.
  • Rub slab of ribs all over with olive oil then sprinkle liberally with salt and pepper and rub it in.
  • Cover and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat melt butter.
  • When it begins to bubble add onion and garlic and sauté 3 minutes.
  • Add all remaining ingredients then stir and turn heat to medium low and cook 30 minutes.
  • When grill is ready put ribs bone side down in center of grill.
  • Cover grill and open vents enough to make sure there is air flow then grill ribs for 1 hour turning twice during cooking.
  • Baste every 10 minutes with sauce.
