Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 3-ounce package cream cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick margarine, softened
  • Blend as you would for pie crust.
  • Refrigerate for one hour.
  • Make 1-inch balls and place in small tart pan.
  • -
  • Filling:
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 egg

Directions
  1. Mix together and place in pastry with teaspoon.
  2. Bake at 400 degrees for 14 minutes.

  4. I may have done this wrong, but I used a muffin pan and I made an indent in the balls of dough and put the filling into the indent It said it was a filling.

This looks tasty. I wonder if the original recipe called for making a pancake of the dough then filling it and pinching the edges together. When I get around to it I'll try that and let you know how it turned out. Still looks very yummy!
