Ingredients

2 cups all purpose flour

1 Tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

1 cup milk

2 teaspoons maple flavouring

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

For the Glaze--

1 cup confectioner's sugar

2 Tablespoons milk

1 Tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon maple flavouring

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and coat a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick spray.

Whisk the flour, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl. Set aside.

In a second bowl, mix together the melted butter, egg and maple flavouring; add the sugar and stir well.

Make a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients to the dry all at once. Stir until just combined.

Spread half the batter in the pan and sprinkle over half the berries. Spread the remaining batter over the berries and sprinkle the remaining berries evenly over the top.

Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

While cake is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing together the glaze ingredients until smooth.

Cool the cake a little after it's done baking, then drizzle the glaze over the top.
