How to make it

  • Peel the potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces, and cooked in water or stock until JUST done.
  • Cook the bacon, set aside. Cook the onions and celery in the bacon drippings. Remove from heat and add the chopped pickle
  • Heat the remaining ingredients just to boiling, and combine with all ingredients.
  • Serve warm with good crusty bread, bratwurst, and dark beer.

    Mmmmmmm :) I prefer this (German-style) potato salad over a North-American-style, mayonnaise-dressed one ANYTIME :) I have a recipe for one almost identical (bacon & drippings, celery, cider vinegar....) that I make a lot. Great post, Waterlily :)
