How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2 cookie sheets.
  • Combine flour and baking soda.
  • In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Beat in peanut butter.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in dry ingredients. Fold in chips, raisins, and peanuts.
  • Drop dough by spoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart on cookie sheets
  • bake 10-12 minutes
  • When cookies are cool, wrap individually and store in airtight container.
  • .
  • ; This time I added only a half cup chips, 1/2 cup oatmeal and 1 cup coconut.
  • .
  • My husband is not a big fan of raisins so I usually add snipped dried fruit instead of raisins. I also sometimes add up to a 1/2 cups oatmeal to this. It depends on how thick the batter is.
