Winter Beef Stew

- 1 pound boneless beef chuck, cut into 3/4 inch Cubes shopping list
- 2 Tablespoon cooking oil shopping list
- 2 - 14 ounce cans beef broth shopping list
- 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 teaspoons Snipped Fresh oregano or 3/4 teaspoon Dried/Crushed shopping list
- 2 teaspoons Snipped fresh basil or 3/4 teaspoon Dried/Crushed shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 2 Cups Yukon Gold or other potatoes shopping list
- 1 Cup frozen cut green beans shopping list
- 1 Cup Sliced carrots shopping list
- 1 Cup Sliced celery shopping list
- 1 15 ounce Can great northern beans Rinsed & Drained shopping list
- 1 14-1/2 Can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 Small Yellow summer squash or zucchini, Sliced shopping list
How to make it
- In a Dutch Oven, Brown Meat, half at a time, in oil. Drain Fat. Return the Cubes of Beef to Pan. Stir in Beef Broth Worchestershire sauce, Dried Herbs, & Pepper; Bring to a Boil. Reduce Heat & Simmer Covered 1 Hour.
- Stir in Potatoes, Green Beans, Carrots, & Celery. Bring to Boiling. Reduce Heat & Simmer Covered for 20 Minutes. Srir in Northern Beans, Tomatoes, Squash, & Fresh Herbs, if using. Return to Boil & Reduce Heat. Cover & Simmer for 5 Minutes more. Makes 6 Servings
