Homemade chocolate chip cookies with a slight twist. My absolute favorite cookie of ALL TIME! Feel free to use different chocolate chips for a different taste.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • a pinch of Salt
  • 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Directions
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Beat the butter and sugars together until creamy, about 3 minutes. I like to cream the butter first then add the sugars.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  5. Stir in flour mixture a little at a time.
  6. Add the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 1 minute on cookie sheet.
  10. Remove to cooling racks to cool completely.
  11. Try not to eat them in one sitting!

Got up to adding the chocolate chips only to discover we didn't have any! What to do??? I added some chopped pecans! They turned out really well. great recipe! Thank you for sharing

I would recommend freezing the dough for 30 minutes to an hour. so that it is easier to shape. my cookies started to spread out. Then again every cook is different!
