Spaghetti and Meatballs

- 1/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 3 1/2 cups (28 oz. can) tomato puree shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 2/3 cup (6 oz. can) tomato paste shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 pkg. (16 oz.) spaghetti, uncooked shopping list
- Meatballs: shopping list
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef shopping list
- 1/3 cup flavored bread crumbs shopping list
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare meatballs
- Brown meatballs in oil in large skillet
- Pour off excess fat
- Add onion and garlic
- Saute 2-3 minutes
- Add tomato puree, water, tomato paste, salt, oregano, basil and pepper
- Simmer 15-20 minutes
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain
- Serve with sauce and meatballs
