How to make it

  • Combine all dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture
  • resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add egg and milk 1 at a time. Mix until dough forms a ball.
  • Turn dough onto lightly-floured board and knead 10 - 12
  • times.
  • Roll out to 3/4" thickness. Cut with a 2 -1/2" biscuit cutter.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 475º F. 12 - 15 minutes.
