Almond Glazed Coffeecake

ALMOND GLAZED COFFEECAKE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Laurel Estate in Mesquite, Texas in 1986.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1 can coconut almond frosting mix shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon butter melted shopping list
- 2 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Generously grease and flour a square pan.
- In large saucepan melt butter then add frosting mix, flour, baking powder, milk and egg.
- Blend well then spread batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with nuts.
- Bake 30 minutes then combine glaze ingredients and pour over warm coffeecake.
