How to make it

  • Prepare cake according to package instructions, using 2 standard round cake pans
  • In medium mixing bowl, beat butter flavor crisco shortening
  • Add confectioners sugar, one cup at a time
  • Add vanilla
  • Slowly blend in milk to desired consistency, adding up to 2 tbsp. more if needed
  • Beat on high speed for 5 minutes, or until smooth and creamy
  • Assembly:
  • Cut cake into 3 slices - the 2 ends/edges will be cut like a half moon which will be the ears and the middle will be the bowtie, when finished
  • Arrange cakes on large serving plate
  • Frost entire cake; sprinkle with coconut and decorate
