Easy and inexpensive meal with vegetables and pasta.

Ingredients
  • Chicken pieces
  • 1 can creamed soup any flavor
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables or your choice of vegetables
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. ground sage
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • Cooked pasta, can use noodles or spaghetti. We have also served this over rice.

Directions
  1. Brown chicken in dutch oven for 10 minutes on each side.
  2. Remove from pan and add vegetables and canned creamed soup.
  3. Add Garlic and remainder of spices. Stir.
  4. Return Chicken to the pan with the soup mixture.
  5. Turn down and let simmer for at least 1 1/2 hours til chicken looks done. Stirring occasionally.
  6. Bring water to boil and add noodles or spaghetti and cook til done.
  7. Serve over hot pasta.
  8. Any chicken pieces can be used. We prefer legs and thighs.
