Marble Brownies

- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 1 1/2tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 5 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 3 envelopes Nestle Chocobake (pre-melted unsweetened chocolate)* shopping list
- If Chocobake is not available in your area, melt 2 squares and then 1 square unsweetened chocolate shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together butter, vanilla, sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each one.
- Mix together flour and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Scatter half of batter by spoonfuls into greased and floured 13 x 9 baking pan
- Add two envelopes pre-melted chocolate (or two squares melted chocolate) to remaining batter in bowl, mix together well.
- Scatter this batter over batter in pan.
- Swirl batter with a butter knife to marbleize slightly.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until slightly firm, do not over bake!
- Cool and ice with following icing.
- Icing: 1/4 cup Crisco
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cups sifted Confectioners sugar
- Cream together shortening and butter, mix in vanilla and milk.
- Mix in Confectioner's sugar, mix until well blended, add more milk or sugar if needed.
- Ice cooled brownies. Drizzle one packet pre-melted chocolate (or 1 square melted chocolate) in straight lines over top of brownies. Run a toothpick back and forth through chocolate to create "spider-like" lines in chocolate.
