baked potato soup

- 4 Large baked potatoes shopping list
- 2/3 cup butter shopping list
- 2/3 cup of flour shopping list
- 6 cups milk, whole or 2% shopping list
- 3/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 4 green onions,chopped shopping list
- 12 slices bacon, fried and crumbled shopping list
- 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 cup ( 8oz) sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- Cut potatoes in half,scoop out taters and put in bowl
- melt butter in large boiler,add flour,gradually stir in milk,continue to stir until smooth.thickened,and bubbly
- stir in taters,salt,pepper,and three quarters of onions,bacon,and cheese.cook until heated,stir in sour cream
- transfer to slow cooker, set temp on low, top with remaining onions,bacon and cheese.
- take to potluck dinner, or to the family table
- for a variation add several slices of velvetta cheese to make soup extra cheesy and creamy.
