Ingredients
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 small onion
  • 2-3 small potatoes, chopped
  • water
  • 1 cup or 1 can corn
  • 1 tbsp. butter or margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan and cook the onion on low heat until soft
  2. Add potatoes and enough water to cover them
  3. Cook until soft
  4. Add the corn and milk and cook the chowder over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it just comes to a boil
  5. Turn off heat immediately and add very small amounts of salt and pepper to taste
