How to make it

  • In bowl, stir together brown sugar, nuts, oats and cinnamon.
  • Drizzle with butter, tossing with fork. Set aside.
  • In large bowl, combine flours, baking soda and salt. Whisk together sugar, milk, sour cream, applesauce, vinegar, oil and vanilla.
  • Pour over dry ingredients and fold until semi-blended.
  • Sprinkle with all the apples and fold in gently.
  • Spoon into prepared muffin cups and sprinkle with topping.
  • Bake in 375 F oven for about 25 minutes or until tops are firm to the touch.
