How to make it

  • Melt butter in saucepan over direct heat.
  • Stir in the flour until it is well blended.
  • Scald milk and add to butter/flour mixture in the saucepan, stirring vigorously.
  • Add the cheese to the sauce, place over low heat and cook, stirring often, until the cheese melts.
