How to make it

  • In a small sauce pan, bring water to a boil.
  • Add vegetable stock cube, stir until dissolved.
  • Add garlic, soy sauce, ginger, red pepper flakes and sugar.
  • Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tbl of cold water.
  • In a large skillet, cook broccoli over high heat for 2 min.
  • Add garlic mixture.
  • Simmer over med high heat for 7-10 minutes.
  • Add cornstarch mixture and stir
  • Cook for 1-2 min until the sauce thickens (add mor cornstarch in cold water to make the sauce thicker if necessary)
  • Serve over steamed rice.
