Broccoli with Garlic

- 2 cups water shopping list
- 3 med heads of broccoli, chopped to bite size pieces shopping list
- 1 head of garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 vegetable stock cube shopping list
- 1/8 to 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp powdered ginger shopping list
- 1 tsp of red pepper flakes (or more if you like) shopping list
- 4 tbl sugar shopping list
- 2 tbl cornstarch shopping list
How to make it
- In a small sauce pan, bring water to a boil.
- Add vegetable stock cube, stir until dissolved.
- Add garlic, soy sauce, ginger, red pepper flakes and sugar.
- Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tbl of cold water.
- In a large skillet, cook broccoli over high heat for 2 min.
- Add garlic mixture.
- Simmer over med high heat for 7-10 minutes.
- Add cornstarch mixture and stir
- Cook for 1-2 min until the sauce thickens (add mor cornstarch in cold water to make the sauce thicker if necessary)
- Serve over steamed rice.
