Chick Peas And Sausage With Rice Recipe
I got this recipe from the Goya website, but played with it a little bit to suit my taste. It can be a side dish or a main dish. The serving size is a guess.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 or 4 Chorizo or Italian Sausages sliced in bite size chunks (I like a mix of Chorizo and Sweet Italian)
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup green sweet pepper chopped
  • 2 tbsp Garlic chopped
  • 1 envelope Goya Sazón with Culantro & Achiote
  • 1 envelope Chicken or Beef Bouillon
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups Long Grain Rice
  • 1 can 15.5 oz. Chick Peas, drained well
  • Salt to taste

Directions
  1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil. Sauté sausage 2-3 minutes. 5 - 10 minutes if using Italian Sausages
  2. Add onion, sweet pepper, garlic, sazon and cook for 2 – 3 minutes
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients, season to taste, cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes

I will give it a try, but is there anything I could replace Goya Sazón with Culantro & Achiote with?
