This is a southern dish my mom used to make for a group of people. its a hearty southern dish..All you need with it is salad and french bread or rolls. This is one of my son's favorite recipes.

Ingredients
  • 1 large hen (boil and debone) (save chicken broth)
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 medium can mushrooms
  • 1 large onion, chopped (can also use some scallions)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large 16 oz box of speghetti, boiled in saved chicken broth
  • 2 medium cans of tomatoes or tomato soup (I add one can of rotel tomatoes)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • grated cheese for top of casserole
  • i stick butter
  • This recipes makes a big dish of Chicken Speghetti

Directions
  1. Cook chicken and debone, save broth
  2. In stick of butter saute, bellpepper, onions, celery and garlic
  3. add cooked and deboned chicken to sauted ingredients then add tomatoes, mushrooms and cooked speghetti
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste
  5. Mix all together and bake for 2 to 2 1/2 hours on 250 degrees
  6. When almost done add cheese to top of dish and let melt
