Ingredients
  • 1 lb fresh broccoli
  • 4 or 5 tsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 chicken bullion cubes crushed or equivalent chicken granules
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1 med navel orange, thinly sliced
  • dash cinnamon

Directions
  1. Place broccoli in a microwave dish cover and heat on high for 2 min
  2. Note: Some microwave ovens may take more time.
  3. In a small sauce pan, combine sugar, cornstarch, buillon.
  4. Stir in water, orange juice, peel and cinnamon until blended well.
  5. Requires constant stirring for about 2 min until thickened.
  6. Present broccoli on serving dish.
  7. Arrange sliced orange in a fan pattern over the broccoli.
  8. Pour the orange sauce over the entire presentation.
  9. Pre-slice the orange in several very thin slices.
  10. Then cut the slices in half, for presentation.
