This is the recipe from the back of the Karo Syrup bottle, but is the one my Mom has always made.

Ingredients
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup karo light or dark corn syrup (I use the light)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/1/4 cup pecans, ground
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked or frozen deep dish pie crust

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl stir first 5 ingredients until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between the center and edge comes out clean.
  2. ***For frozen pie crusts, preheat oven and cookie sheet. Pour filling inot frozen pie crust, bake on cookie sheet in lower third of oven.

This is the recipe I use too...it's just delicious. I also use the light Karo. I usually dot the entire surface with unsalted butter!! :)
