How to make it

  • Place sausage pieces in a 12 inch skillet or Dutch oven
  • Arrange sweet potatoes, cabbage and bell pepper around sausage
  • Sprinkle with marjoram, salt and pepper
  • Add broth to skillet
  • Bring to a boil
  • Reduce heat to medium low; cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetable are tender, stirring occasionally

    Delicious, although I altered this recipe somewhat to take advantage of what I had on hand.
    I used red cabbage rather that green cabbage and added 2 medium sized cooking onions at the very beginning. I used water rather than chicken stock.
    I never add salt to any of my cooking but I added a generous portion of freshly ground red/black pepper and a dash of hot sauce.
    Highly recommended...thanks for the great lunch! I rate this a 4!
