Tomatillo-Avocado Dip

- 1 pound tomatillos, husked shopping list
- 1 avocado, pitted and peeled shopping list
- 1 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro leaves shopping list
- 1/3 cup sour cream shopping list
- 5 garlic cloves shopping list
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice shopping list
- 2 medium jalapeno chilies, stemmed, seeded and chopped shopping list
- tortilla chips for serving shopping list
How to make it
- Cook tomatillos in large pot of boiling water until soft but still whole, about 3 minutes.
- Drain and refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.
- Place tomatillos in blender. Add next 6 ingredients. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer to a bowl; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold.
- Can be made up to 6 hours ahead.
- Serve with chips.
