Ingredients
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp maple flavoring
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp cram of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Directions
  1. preheat oven to 400
  2. blend and cream well the shortening, sugar, eggs and flavorings
  3. sift together the flour, cram of tartar, soda and salt
  4. combine all ingredients
  5. roll into 1 inch balls
  6. roll ball in a sugar and cinnamon mixture prepared to taste
  7. bake 6-9 minutes on silpat or a greased sheet
