French Strawberry Pie

This is an easy recipe yet one that will make you look like you slaved for hours. We love it and make it all summer long when strawberries are fresh. Hope you like it as much as we do.
Ingredients
- 9 inch baked pie shell shopping list
- 3 ounces cream cheese shopping list
- 30 whole large strawberries shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- whipping cream shopping list
How to make it
- Soften cheese and spread over bottom of crust.
- Place strawberries standing up over cheese.
- Mix sugar and cornstarch together.
- Puree enough berries in blender or processor to make 1-1/2 cups liquid.
- Bring to boil and slowly add sugar-cornstarch mixture.
- Cook stirring constantly until thick about 1 minute.
- Cool then pour over berries and refrigerate.
- Before serving put a circle of whipped cream around edges of pie and decorate with whole berries.
