How to make it

  • In a deep large skillet, add oil, mushrooms, onions, green pepper and garlic, sauté on medium heat until tender. Set aside.
  • In same skillet, brown beef on med-high heat. Drain fat
  • Return meat, vegetables and remaining ingredients to skillet. Heat until bubbling, reduce heat to a simmer and simmer with lid on but cocked for at least an hour. If it gets too thick add a bit of water to thin, or red wine.
