Arizona Beans And Beef Recipe
A spiced up Beef and Bean stew/soup. As with anything adjust the seasoning to suite your own tastes.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb pinto beans (about 2 1/2 cups), rinsed, picked over
  • 2 10 oz cans beef broth
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 5 1/2 oz can tomato paste
  • 1 lb lean beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 lb salt pork, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbs chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in slow cooker; cover and cook on
  2. low setting 12 hours or until beans are tender. Season to
  3. taste with salt and pepper. Makes 8 to 10 servings.

This just is terrible. Beans were tough and just unbearable. Please learn to cook beans from scratch chuck wagon style. Dry beans always come out poorly in a slow cooker


Beans in crockpot arent tough if you cook them right{approximately 6 hours on high. plenty of water or liquid. great recipe fabulous terriffic!
