Chinese Beef and Vegies

- 1- 1 1/2 lbs.boneless petite steaks (somewhat still frozen) shopping list
- 1 can tomato soup shopping list
- 2 T vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 T white vinegar shopping list
- 3 T soy sauce shopping list
- 1 can drained water chestnuts shopping list
- pinch of garlic powder shopping list
- pinch of crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 large bag of frozen stir fry vegies/broccoli mix shopping list
- 2-3 C prepared white rice shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare instant white rice,then set aside.
- Slice semi-frozen beef into very small bite size slivers or chunks.(Semi-frozen meat cuts much easier and the knife does not shred it the way it would room temp meat.)
- In hot skillet,add oil and garlic powder,add meat:cook over medium flame,stirring often.Cook until browned,turning flame to low.
- Drain water chestnuts and steam frozen vegies in the microwave.(5-7 min.covered)
- Add tomato soup,vinegar and soy sauce to meat mixture,turning flame up,then saute for approx 5-7 min.The sauce will go from red to a very rich brown.Add steamed vegies/chestnuts and cook for approx 10 more minutes.Serve over white rice.
