Crab Mousse Dip Recipe


CRAB MOUSSE DIP Recipe
This is a delicious dip that looks beautiful too. Shrimp can also be substituted for the crab in this recipe.

Ingredients
  • 10 ¾ oz. Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • (or cream of Shrimp, Celery)
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 env. Unflavored gelatin
  • (may be softened in sherry)
  • 6 ½ oz. crab meat (or shrimp)
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ t. salt

Directions
  1. Lightly oil 4 c. mold. In small saucepan, over low heat
  2. Combine soup, cream cheese and gelatin, stir until mixture is smooth & creamy – about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat; add remaining items.
  4. Pour mixture in prepared mold. Cover and chill several hours or until firm.
  5. Invert mold onto lettuce on serving plate. Serve with thinly sliced bread or crackers.
