HONEY MUSTARD MEATLOAF This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Greeley Estate in Wills Point Texas in 1986.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 teaspoon basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons spicy mustard
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onions, basil, salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in eggs and mix lightly but thoroughly then shape into loaf.
  4. Place loaf in baking pan.
  5. Combine honey and mustard then brush half of the mixture on loaf.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes then brush with remaining honey and mustard mixture.
  7. Bake for 30 more minutes.
