This lasagna can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake it. Also freezes well.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 2 T onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3-8oz cans tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 t Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1/2 T sugar
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 small carton cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t parsley
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown hamburger, onion, salt, and pepper. Drain.
  3. Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and sugar to meat.
  4. Cook lasagna noodles according to directions on package.
  5. Mix cottage cheese, egg, and parsley.
  6. Place 3 noodles in a 9x13 baking dish.
  7. Put 1/2 of the meat sauce on top of noodles.
  8. Add 3 more noodles.
  9. Add cottage cheese and mozzarella.
  10. Add remaining noodles.
  11. Add remaining meat.
  12. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  13. Bake for 40 min.
  14. Let lasagna sit for 10-15 min. before serving.
