Ingredients

1/2 cup red lentils

1 onion finely chopped

1 litre meat stock

2 tbls rice or bulgur

2 tbls tomato paste

2 tbls butter

salt and pepper

OPTIONAL: 1 TSP DRIED MINT AND 1 TSP PAPRIKA FLAKES

Directions

Place all ingredients in a large pan, bring to the boil, and then simmer for about 30 mins.

If using the optional ingredients add these and cook for a further 5 mins.

Serve!
