How to make it

  • Boil 7 cups of water and add oats.
  • Reduce to medium heat and cook until oats are tender but still firm to bite, about 25 minutes
  • In another pan, bring cream and syrup to boil and reduce heat to med-low and simmer until reduced to 1 2/3 cups, about 20 minutes
  • Mix cornstarch and 1 tsp. water in small bowl
  • Whisk into maple mixture and cook until thickened, stirring occasionally
  • Top oatmeal with sliced bananas and drizzle with maple cream

    Ditto - oatmeal is my new pregancy power food and I love it with maple syrup! Will be having this for breakfast tomorrow. Thanks for great post.
