  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 c packed light brown sugar

  • 1 1/4 c butter milk
  • 3 tbs molasses

  • 1 c chopped walnuts, toasted and divided
  • 2/3 c golden rasins
  • 2 tbs raw turbinado sugar or regular granulated sugar

  5. Bake 35-40 min or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temp.
