Taco Quiche With Avocado Salsa

- 1 ready to bake pastry shell, large and deep dish shopping list
- 1 tablespoon oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 large clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef shopping list
- 2 teaspoons chili powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (divided) shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon ketchup shopping list
- Dash Tabasco shopping list
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups half and half shopping list
- 1 small can green chilies shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese shopping list
- 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese shopping list
- salsa shopping list
- 1 avocado, peeled and diced shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon lime juice shopping list
- 2 green onions, chopped fine shopping list
- 1 medium tomato or 2-3 roma tomatoes, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Bake pastry shell for 7 minutes at 400 degrees
- In skillet, heat oil and saute' onion and garlic until soft
- Stir in the ground beef, chili powder, oregano, *1/4* teaspoon salt,
- cayenne pepper, ketchup and Tabasco sauce
- Brown the meat mixture, drain well
- Spoon into baked pie shell
- In bowl, beat eggs, mix with half and half, *1/4* teaspoon salt, chilies and cheeses
- Pour mixture over meat
- Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes until center is set and a snife comes out clean
- Let rest about 15 minutes before serving
- SALSA
- In bowl, combine all listed ingredients
- Top with salsa before serving
