Church Chicken

- 1 good sized chicken shopping list
- 1/2 pound bacon shopping list
- 2 large onions shopping list
- 4 pounds potatoes shopping list
- 5 cans lima beans or butter beans,drained shopping list
- 2 cans whole kernel corn,drained shopping list
- 5 cans of tomatoes,not drained shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Place the chicken in pressure cooker,cook until the meat falls off the bones
- Break up the chicken in bite size pieces and place back into cooker
- Do not cook chicken any further
- Peel the potatoes and cook then in seperate pan until done
- Drain,water from the potatoes and mash
- Dice the onions and place in the presure cooker with the chicken
- Add the drained,lima beans,drained whole kernel corn,and the undrained tomatoes.
- With lid off,bring to a slow boil over medium heat.
- Remove from stove.
- Cut up the bacon and place in pan in oven cook until done.
- Place the cooked bacon in the pot with the chicken and other ingredients,add salt and the two peppers
- Now put in the mashed potatoes and let it slowly boil over medium heat for about 45 minutes or until thick,Stir frequently to keep from burning.
- Serve with bread and butter
