Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (Del Monte)
  • About 2 lbs. of lean ground beef
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 large Vidalia onion (diced) Might want to do this as oven is preheating...
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 cup finely crushed saltine cracker crumbs

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Lightly grease or spray a 9x13 cake pan
  3. Press the brown sugar in the bottom of the pan (I usually use glass)
  4. Spread the ketchup over the brown sugar (it's not easy to do this, but just relax...it all blends in the end)
  5. In separate mixing bowl, mix remaining ingredients thoroughly and shape into a hunk that fits in the middle of the pan with about 3 inches from any of the sides...just make sure it's not too tall.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until juices are clear.
  7. Eat your heart out and experience Utopia while savoring this juicy meatloaf!
