Ingredients
  • 2 eggs
  • 1tbl flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup half/half (cream)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • (can use whole milk for all cream and milk)
  • 1tbl grand marnier or vanilla
  • 1/2 a stick of butter for the pan
  • Day old rustic thick cut French bread
  • OR
  • Potato Bread

Directions
  1. Leave beard out over night to stale
  2. Mix all ingredients (except beard) in a large mixing bowl with a wisp or immersion blender. until foamy
  3. pour in shallow baking dish and soak 2 slices for 2 -3 minutes per side
  4. pre-heat oven to warm
  5. heat a large skillet with a table of butter until melted.
  6. spread out butter and add the 2 slices.
  7. wait 5 or so minutes or until first side is slightly brown
  8. flip and repeat.
  9. Place made french toast on a oven safe plate in the oven to keep warm.
  10. Serve with mable suyrp, bacon, and a piece of sharp cheddar.
