Classic Pan Fried French Toast

- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1tbl flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup half/half (cream) shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- (can use whole milk for all cream and milk) shopping list
- 1tbl Grand Marnier or vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 a stick of butter for the pan shopping list
- Day old rustic thick cut French bread shopping list
- OR shopping list
- potato Bread shopping list
How to make it
- Leave beard out over night to stale
- Mix all ingredients (except beard) in a large mixing bowl with a wisp or immersion blender. until foamy
- pour in shallow baking dish and soak 2 slices for 2 -3 minutes per side
- pre-heat oven to warm
- heat a large skillet with a table of butter until melted.
- spread out butter and add the 2 slices.
- wait 5 or so minutes or until first side is slightly brown
- flip and repeat.
- Place made french toast on a oven safe plate in the oven to keep warm.
- Serve with mable suyrp, bacon, and a piece of sharp cheddar.
